Kaneki's evolution: That's just how Ken is~!

"Even if I break apart, I will continue to protect my place; to return to"

"I will not give in to those stronger, I will evolve to protect those weaker
"

Ken Kaneki

His Personality

His mother died from overwork because of her sister’s ridiculous request and her inability to throw away one thing to preserve the other. This left Kaneki with great abandonment issues, and the Asaoka family that took him in (His aunt’s family) grew distant due to his aunt’s humility that Kaneki; her sister’s son, was smarter and higher achieving than her son Yuuichi. As a kid Kaneki adored his mother’s cooking, especially her hamburgers before she passed. His father died at a young age and he scarcely remembered his face and was always wondering what kind of person his father was. As Kaneki read the books his father has he felt like his father was with him which often kept him from being too lonely.

Kaneki is a bashful and held individual with Hide being his just close companion. He generally invests the vast majority of his time perusing books, for the most part books. He is amazingly tender and has all the earmarks of being hopeful more often than not. Impacted by his mother and a genuine confirmation of humility, he readily takes accuse and discipline from others so he can be somebody who doesn't damage individuals but instead "the individual being damaged". Notwithstanding, this absence of emphatically typically gets him tormented and exploited. On the other hand, underneath his caring and tender nature is a fundamental trepidation of being distant from everyone else. Since the time that his mother passed on, Kaneki has created his identity to look like his mother's. He disdains the thought of isolation; subsequently he tries to secure those dear to him so he would not need to face his apprehensions of being separated from everyone else on the planet. This is maybe his most prominent shortcoming and demonstration of childishness. Since Kaneki is continually attempting to secure others, he is basically attempting to ensure himself from getting to be distant from everyone else once more. In this way to escape that situation, he would bear the undertaking of ensuring other onto himself without searching for others to help him. This is additionally the motivation behind why Kaneki appears to reject the idea of "living" on the grounds that to him, viewing others kicks the bucket before him is the start of coming back to those dejected days without anybody behind him

After being held and tortured everyday by “Jason” he loses part of his self-identity. His gentle and nurturing side goes dormant and he becomes Ruthless and brutal with the aim of keeping his loved ones from harm while keeping aplomb. He no longer is frightened of his ghoul side during fights and is more belligerent and resolute. To attest this to himself and others he eats “Jason’s” kagune and he abandoned his human side and accepted “Rize” into his self and became a “ghoul”. Though I said that he “loses” his self-identity but it isn’t really gone; it just does not show itself to others as it has always have, now his heart is set on his loved ones and not everyone. He can become savage with a blink of an eye against those he doesn't trust and his enemies, such as Tsukiyama, Ayato, and Noro. Banjou has pointed out several times that Ken has created a precarious mental barrier while with the 11th ward and this would little by little tear his whole “self” apart.
